Our main reason for wanting to go out to Utah in October instead of December was that my entire family was going to be getting together at my brother-in-law's cabin for a long weekend. When the plans were made, I cried and cried because I really wanted to go too! I hadn't been under the same roof with my entire family for more than three hours in years. I am so glad that we did this- it was SO MUCH FUN!!
The cabin was in West Yellowstone, just down the road from where my dad lived for a few years as a boy (and where he saved my aunt from drowning!). The cabin was awesome- it had 7 bedrooms and five bathrooms. The upstairs was so cool- it was a huge playroom with beds all around the sides that folded into the walls. All of the kids stayed upstairs, and the adults took the rest of the rooms. It worked out perfectly! Oh, and there was a Wii. Isaac and my brothers spent so many hours on that game- and they were all sore from the golfing, batting, and bowling. This was how my evenings looked:

Isaac wants a Wii for Christmas, and I can't say I blame him- it was so much fun!
We went into Yellowstone on Friday and Saturday. We didn't see any bear or wolves, but saw tons of elk, buffalo, a coyote, and Jeff Corwin!! His film crew was stopped on the side of the rode, and he was standing out in a field with a coyote and buffalo. It was the highlight of the day!

There is a huge buffalo off to the right hand side of this picture.
The gnats at Old Faithful were driving us crazy while we were trying to eat lunch. Me and David (or Nathan? I'm not sure...) took refuge under my coat.

Pretty waterfall where my mom freaked out (love you, Mom!) and we saw huge fish trying to jump up the waterfall.

After waiting around for an hour (with those horrible gnats!) to see Old Faithful, we took the kids into the Lodge to pass some time. Wouldn't you know it, but Old Faithful erupted 15 minutes early and we only caught the tail end.
