This past week and a half has been Long. Stressful. I need more sleep.
1. Work is insane. I have a love/hate relationship with my job, and the hate side is winning out more lately. Yes, I do get loads of free stuff, and get to go to fancy dinners and conferences. I'm taking the Amtrak to NYC tomorrow to go to a conference at the Waldorf=Astoria. Fancy fancy. But it is just not what I want to do! I am not a fancy person, I don't enjoy wearing suits and talking about leveraged buy outs and which CEO was kicked out last week. I am in charge of this- I get to meet (and get kissed by!) CEOs and leaders from all over the world- & I help organize 18 conferences. Doing two people's jobs (and only getting paid for one!) is starting to take its toll.
2. I left my makeup bag on a taxi last Friday. All my makeup. Gone. I went shopping and replenished my supplies to support my vanity, but it's just not the same. The colors aren't quite right & the brushes are all wrong. Sad day.
3. I severely disabled our brand new laptop. It can't connect to the internet & it's too slow to do anything.
4. Unexpected medical bills, doctors appointments, blah.
But, just when I thought I was losing my mind... I went for a stone massage. It was great. The poor masseuse could not believe how many knots I had in my back and shoulders. She kept saying. "oh dear.... oh no.... oh..." I am sore today, but mmmm it felt good.
I am starting to feel a little less crazed and more like myself. And I get to go to NYC tomorrow, so things are looking up!

oh dear, that is a crazy week! The medical bills are sucky :( I too had a stone massage once and it was lovely but in the end she used ice-cold stones on my nicely relaxed self and it was awful - I guess it helps tighten everything back up so that you aren't as sore? Anyway, I hope your whole massage was nice and hot :) Um, and I think that you have Noah's dream job (sans the kisses).
Hopefully the taxi driver had your same coloring so that the makeup wasn't a total waste?
Let's trade jobs for a week. But it has to be this week because I want to go to New York. :)
Sad about the makeup! And the other stuff, too. Sorry you're so stressed! You need to talk to someone about a raise if you're doing all that work!!!
