I must admit, I love being tagged. It’s like getting a note passed to you in class. I loved passing notes (ok, I still pass notes with Isaac in church). I also love that this note from April was addressed to “Sara of Isaac and Sara”. What a lucky gal I am to have Isaac attached to me :)
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? I love to wrap gifts- the other night I wrapped up empty boxes and put them under our tree. I can’t tie bows worth anything, but I enjoy trying (and the bow on the present under my tree is the best bow I’ve ever, ever tied. I’ll take a picture.)
2. Tree--Real or Artificial? Two years ago, I would have said real. That was before we had to throw out two trees, two years in a row, before Christmas, because they turned sour and stunk up the entire house. Last year we got a free tree from Home Depot’s Black Friday sale. It is pre-lit, and I love it, sparse as it is. It reminds me of the Charlie Brown Christmas tree.
3. When do you put Christmas tree up? Day after Thanksgiving, if I’m lucky.
4. When do you take the tree down? After New Years.
5. Like egg nog? Mmmmm, yes.
6. Do you have a nativity scene? Of course. I am dreaming of this one, but for now, my 12.98 Wal-Mart special will suffice.
7. Favorite gift received as a child? Wuzzle. He is still in my closet (at least I don’t sleep with him anymore).
8. Hardest person to buy for? Isaac. He’s picky.
9. Easiest person to buy for? My neighbors- they are Hindu.
10. Worst Christmas gift? Being forgotten is a bad Christmas gift.
11. Mail or email a Christmas Card? Mail. I love sending them out, and I love getting them!
12. Favorite Christmas movie? Christmas Story. We used to stay up and watch the 24 hour marathon on Christmas Eve. Those were the days…
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? The day after Thanksgiving.
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Probably, but nothing comes to mind.
15. Favorite food to eat on Christmas? Oranges, peanuts, orange sticks, kipper snacks- all of the Price traditional stocking stuffers!
16. Clear or colored tree lights? I used to like colored, until Isaac showed me the error of my ways.
17. Favorite Christmas Song? Sarah McLachlan and Bare Naked Ladies’ version of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen & We Three Kings. I looove that song. Oh, and last week I discovered that Sarah McLachlan has an entire Christmas CD! Why didn’t anyone ever tell me??
18. Travel during Christmas or Stay home? This year we’ll be staying home and joining our families via webcam. Should be relaxing!
19. Can you name Santa's reindeers? Surely.
20. Angel or Star on Tree top? Sparkly star
21. Open presents on Christmas Eve or morning? We used to open presents from Grandma on Christmas Eve. Isaac’s family opens PJs on Christmas eve. This is our first Christmas with our own little family of three (yes, we are one of those people that treat their dogs like a member of the family) so I’m not sure what new tradition we’ll start.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of year? All of the things on my “to do” list.
I think I’ll make this a family affair and pass this “note” to Kati, Michelle P, Mom, Dad & Dan.

i need to do all the tagging i get, but i have a hard time - since i never have time - to even post pictures! oh well, it was fun to read through your list of stuff! so you are staying in philly for christmas, that will be nice. thanks heavens for webcams though - that is what we do with my big sis. but emily is doing well. living with some cute girls, goes on a lot of dates, and just hangs out. she is just beautiful, and i will be sure to tell her hello! hope you are well and keeping warm!
I love that nativity too. I have been dreaming of it for quite a while. Maybe next year...
