a basement full of love

The basement is done, and that = pure joy! My hub finished putting the trim up this week, and let me tell you, it is beeeautiful. We have no furniture, but plan on getting a couch next week. Mmm it is lovely.

A few more pictures to remind you of the pain and suffering we went through....

the dust. the bane-of-my-existence dust.

The incredibly itchy insulation (I put all of this up myself)

the exhausted face of my dear husband

we hired Jerome to come help paint and Kilief helped Isaac with electrical (a bit scary...)

the three stairs we had to traverse for what seemed like months (ok, it probably was months).

And was it worth it? Decide for yourselves.

Before

After (Dax digs his new built-in kennel... door to come soon)

After (this picture was taken the day after my surgery, I walked downstairs and about died I was so tired)

And now. My new favorite room in the house. Look at all the storage! Look at the clean cleanliness! Look at the lack of dust!

Isaac's garage- still too dusty for me, but he loves it, especially his custom work bench.

A little blood, a lot of sweat, and even more tears were put into this basement. SO glad it's done. So glad I have a husband that can: do demolition, electrical, plumbing, framing, drywall, gas line removal, tile, door hanging, painting, and write love notes on the wall.

Sara! It looks FANTASTIC!

I am still a little pouty that I won't be seeing it myself in a few days. Hmph.

Love the little note on the wall. Love that Isaac. Love you.

W-O-W...wow! That is so impressive! Good work Isaac! We have rooms that only need painting and some trim and 3 years later... we still haven't gotten to them.

Wow, that is awesome! I wish I had such talent. That basement really looks nice. And now whenever you look at the wall with the love note, you'll be able to imagine it beneath the drywall and think of each other.
