loyal to our high school

It's been a while since I've done a tag, and Isaac's out playing bball, and I am taking a break from quilting... so here goes, a tag about high school.

I moved my senior year of high school, and thus my frosh-junior year were totally different than my senior year. Totally, 100%, different. Not that it really matters, just thought I'd mention it.

1. Did you date someone in high school? Isaac and I met our senior year, and we have been together ever since. That is 10 years, my friends. I also dated his best friend (that was short lived) and another kid in my first high school (who won't add me as a friend on facebook, and it is killing me. JUST ADD ME!)
2. What kind of car did you drive? A red Geo Prism, aka the Sara Mobile.
3. Did you pass your driver's license test the first time? Fo shizzle.
4. Were you a party animal? Um, not an animal, but I did like me a good party. Especially one that ended up with a midnight run to Denny's (they pretty much all did).

5. Were you considered a flirt? Flirting was about the only thing there was to do in tiny-ville.
6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? No, but I totally rocked my guitar class. Or totally stunk, either one.

7. Were you a nerd? Did you check out the pictures? Total nerd.
8. Were you on any varsity teams? Have you seen my coordination? Heck no.
9. Did you ever get suspended or expelled? Nope.
11. Who were your favorite teachers? My senior year yearbook advisor. I also TA'd for his art class. He was awesome.
12. Where did you sit at lunch? By my locker or outside. At my new school, they actually had good food in the cafeteria, so I think we ate in the lunch room. That is where I first met Isaac- he was hopping the lunch line, which brought strict penalty from the campus police.
13. School mascot: Templars / Warriors
14. School colors: Red and White / Red, White, and Black
15. Did you go to homecoming and who with? Yes, three times, with the above mentioned boy that won't add me as his friend on facebook.
16. If you could go back and do it again, would you? Maybe. I would totally call more people "tiger" because I just didn't do enough of that.
17. What do you remember most about graduation? I went back to my first high school a week before graduation so I could walk with my class. Isaac and almost my whole family came down for the ceremony. It was strange to be around all of these people that I hadn't seen in so long, but it was also great to be with my best friends. The day that I was headed back to get ready for graduation, Isaac gave me a Spice Girls cd and a homemade card telling me how much he'd miss me. He also said that he had been seen in public purchasing that cd, and that was true love.

18. Where did you go on Senior Skip Day? Pretty much every day of my senior year could have been called such.
19. Were you in any clubs? Yearbook photographer and editor, junior prom co-chairwoman, youth city council, student council at my new school, and according to the yearbook, every club on campus since I wanted to be in every picture.
20. Have you gained weight since then? Oh yes.
21. Who was your prom date? Above mentioned non-facebook friend my junior year, Isaac my senior.
at my junior prom, my high school did a promenade where they announced every member of the class and then we did a coordinated dance to "my heart will go on" by Celine Dion. All my family came to gawk, I mean support me.

my senior year, I was on crutches due to a recent surgery. Isaac asked me to the prom by putting a snowman with crutches on the front lawn (he had to go up the canyon to get the snow) with a note that said, "will you crutch to prom with me?"

22. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? I wish, but it probably won't be possible.
23. Did you have a job while in high school? Janitor at the elementary school and fireworks seller extraordinaire.

24. Worst class? Gym. I used my scoliosis to get out of it my entire h.s. career. I think the last time I exercised was in middle school. Ok, I need to get in shape.
25.Favorite class? yearbook, english, chemistry, history

I have lots of comments. First of all, I think you rock like a lobster. (Are you old enough to "get" that reference? If not, it means I think you're cool like ice cream.) I don't think you were a nerd. A brat maybe, but not a nerd.
Were we invited to the public gawking? I think I would have been there if your whole family was there. Maybe I was and I am blocking it from my memory out of respect for you. You look great in that color, by the way.
At Denny's did you ever participate in the "Denny's Spoon Hanging Ritual"? We always did on our midnight excursions. After you've been seated, everyone at the table hangs a spoon off the end of their nose before the waitress comes for the orders. Then you act like it's business as usual, because of course it is. It really messes up the waitress.
Love you guys!

I loved this post. Now here comes my comments (aren't ya excited?!)... I drove a red civic, what is it about red cars in high school? must have been a great color for teens. I love that you had Denny runs. Breakfast is more my style though. I didn't know you could play the guitar!! I'm just learning how to play the Uk. Kinda the same. I loved it when our high school cafeteria was remodeled! The best food EVER... truly! Especially their mexician dishes. mmm... What's up with tiger? :/ Is that Isaac in the grad picture? Cuz it doesn't look like him... I loved that he brought you snow!! :) Awww... You sold fireworks?! That's awesome. I think that's funny you skipped out on gym too. I got a doctor's note and skipped my entire high school years. YMCA is a great place to get in shape!! :) So, did you take pictures for yearbook, or mostly write? Just curious. Love getting to know you better.

Oh... good times!! You were the best photographer in yearbook. But, I can not remember who your former boyfriend (now non-friend) is and it is driving me CRAZY.

p.s. This year we didn't know what fireworks to get and Steve said, "Remember when the Price's sold fireworks and knew all the good ones." I wish my current next door neighbors sold fireworks.

I remember that you drove a red Prizm, cuz so did I!!! Mine's name was LoveRider. I also remember the wrath from line-jumping in the cafeteria. Isaac was never afraid, though! This brings back memories!! Do you remember that our lunch table was 'Porn the Table'? Good times.

I really love my sunburned orange face in our prom picture. It looks like the spitfire logo that is now my profile pic...
