happy 4th

Isaac is not one to get homesick- except for on the 4th of July. He misses his family more on this day than any other. We have so many fun memories of this holiday with both our families (illegal fireworks with his family, running a firework stand with mine) and it does really stink to be so far away from them!

After spending most of the day feeling sorry for ourselves, we had a delish BBQ and then put on a spectacular fireworks show {insert total sarcasm here} with our neighbors.

(we call Hazel 'Blanket' when we drape her in this lovely mosquito netting)

of course, Isaac modified all of the fireworks, giving them a little bit more ooomph.

And check out this lovely apron I picked up at the festival. Isaac is actually the one that made the delish brownies, but aren't I a picture of domesticity?

I love cute aprons! I have a few but I forget to wear them. What cute pictures.

Love the beautiful necklace, along with the necklace. Now all you need are high heels and a skirt and you'd be the "perfect" housewife! :)

I LOVE the picture of you and baby Hazel. So adorable.

Happy to see you are making good use of your apron. I'm kind of jealous. I should have purchased one too. I'm now regretting my decision.

Remember the awesome neighborhood firework display when you ran the firework stand. Good times!
