There was a squirrel sitting on my counter top!
I grabbed the babe and dog and ran out the door. I called Isaac (he was at work) and he said he was going to call Bishop Spence and see if he was home, so I hung up the phone and called Kathy at the same time. Within a minute, the entire clan was over to save the day. Ben was even wearing a superhero cape- he meant business.
Geniuses that they are, they opened a window in the dining room and coaxed him to it. As the squirrel leaped from the kitchen to the dining room, I screamed, Hazel cried, and Addi ran for the front door. Finally the squirrel made a dash for the window and was gone. Phew!
He had eaten through our screen to get in, then munched our our bread and a pan of brownies that was sitting out, and I don't know what else, so everything in the kitchen went into the dishwasher or was heavily cleaned. The lid on the formula was partially open, and since maybe, just maybe, his grubby little paws touched it, into the garbage it went.
As Ben was leaving, he said to Kathy, "I want a squirrel to come inside our house". If you are a good boy, Ben, you might just get your wish, especially since the same thing happened to another family on our block.
Wiley little devils.

That's too funny, who would expect a squirrel? I'm glad you grabbed your camera!
Oh my! You are so funny! I would never had taken pictures of the little devil! When we had mice in our old house I would stand on the couch and squeal until Ryan took care of them- I am sure I would have freaked out way worse if it had been a giant squirrel! You really are so brave!
That's awesome! What a great story. Go Ben the Superhero! James said (speaking about the brownies), "If she didn't make such delicious food she wouldn't have a problem!" :)
They are little devils, last year at Zion National Park I had one break my zipper open on my back and tear into all of our snacks within a few minutes!! They are NOT scared of people there. Glad you survived
LOL...oh my you make me laugh! I'm glad you all survived that sly little critter!
