four and a half months young

Hazel is growing at warp speed. She is so lovely and cute and funny and perfect. She can sit up, totally unassisted, for like a minute. A minute! That's big time!

(haze is showing off my newly finished quilt, which i love.)

Her newest thing is to grab her toes while she's hanging out, eating, babbling, bathing, getting her nappy changed, whatever. Gotta have those toes!

She is almost too big for her tub!
I love that their hands are doing the same thing. And I love her face. And her belly. And his face. And his belly. Oh, I'm so lucky to call them mine!!

At her four month check-up, the doctor put her on some medicine for acid reflux. As you can see from this picture (because Hazel and I both aren't crying) it seems to be working! Hallelujah!!

It is so hot and muggy, you can actually see the humidity in her nursery. Gross.

We went to the Washington DC temple at the beginning of the month. We traded off watching Hazel and going to the temple, and seven hours later.... Phew, that was a long day. During my turn in the temple, Isaac and Hazel went somewhere fun with lots of trees. (I can't remember where they went, but judging by the picture, it was fun and there were trees.)

Isaac enjoys putting food on our daughter's head. Oh, dad.

And last but not least, her four month stats were:
16 lbs 7 oz (95%)
25.5 inches long (89.5%)

I don't know how much longer I can lug her around in her car seat. My poor arms!

Oh she's so cute! I love her smile! She is one happy baby!!!

Good stats for being 4 months! Good job Mommy!!!

Yeah, I can't haul the big babies in the infant carrier too long. I'm tiny and not strong.
Sounds like you'll have to start getting a convertible car seat soon.

That's great that you guys took time to go the temple. We need to do that too!

Have I told you lately how grateful I am for your blog??!! Otherwise, I would miss out on seeing all her accomplishments. Sitting up? She's not suppose to be able to do that yet! Give her a big kiss from Grandma and Grandpa. Love you all!

Hannah was 17 lbs at four months, and I remember thinking that the car seat got really heavy really fast too. I never complained about it with Maddie because she was so light in comparison. I guess maybe it's a good work out at least!
