infertile myrtle

Over the past few months, I've gotten quite a few emails from friends, family, and even people I don't know, about adoption and infertility. I received another such email yesterday, and Isaac said, "You are everyone's favorite infertile!"

As I was replying to this friend's email, I shared my love of adoption, and the blessing that both adoption and infertility has been in my life. I don't think the pain of infertility will ever go away, but I love that I can share my knowledge and experiences with others. I mean, honestly, how many people get to go through IUIs, IVFs, 76 months of waiting for a baby, a failed adoption, and then the most perfect and wonderful adoption ever?

I love our story. I cherish the experiences that Isaac and I have had together as we've built our family. We've been working on our adoption blog, getting it ready to go up again, and we are chomping at the bit to start the process again (we can't officially start until Hazel is a year old). We are excited and nervous, so please keep this infertile myrtle and her adorable family in your prayers.

P.S.
I love our story, true, but can I ask that the chapter of our next baby's journey be a little shorter? A quicker read? We haven't had one of those yet!

P.P.S. If you have any questions about adoption or infertility in general, or specifics about our adoptions and treatments, feel free to ask anything!

I was originally linked to your blog from the R House. And I've been checking in from time to time (friendly blog stalking).

I think you have a beautiful family. Hazel is absolutely adorable!

Being infertile in the church isn't the easiest, when everyone around you makes it look so easy to have babies.

I hope that your next adoption is much faster! I'm excited for Hazel to get a sibling, how fun. Love you!

A couple of weeks ago in church the lesson was on "God gave us families". I was sitting there thinking how grateful I was for my family and for all of my grandchildren, when I happened to look up and my eyes connected with one of our sisters. Her's were spilling over with tears. Her daughter,17 years old, had recently
delivered their very 1st grandchild and placed him in a wonderful home. Her heartbreak was as deep as my joy! I loved being a part of your expierence, because I was able to go to her after the meeting, put my arms around her and express my love to her for her sacrifice. We love those birth mothers and their mothers too, don't we? Love you Mome

Thank you for this Sara! This crazy, wonderful, roller coasted of a journey that we all love called Adoption is hard, very hard. The waiting is excrutiating. Not to mention the infertility wo's. It's so nice to be reminded that things do work out. Hazel is a doll! I can't beleive Hazel will be 1 in just a couple of months! I'm so glad Carly directed me to your blog lo those many months ago! HUGS to you all!
