happy birthday, hospital style

Hazel's nurses got her a birthday cake and presents, and she was happy to celebrate her big day with her doctor and cake delivery woman.

After the celebration, Hazel was ready to blow that joint. The signs on the door are the isolation warning signs- no one was supposed to enter without wearing gown, masks, and gloves. You can see from the picture above that the doctor and food lady broke the rule to party hearty. (I always thought it was 'party hardy', but Isaac set me straight- and then I looked it up to confirm.)

This is how all the nurses and doctors looked when they came in our room. Can you blame Hazel for being totally scared of them?

The spacious couch where Isaac and I spent four lovely nights and five fun filled days.

Many an hour were spent gazing longingly out this window

Getting ready to check out, Hazel gave her pillow one last snuggle. Oh, she's so precious.

Dear Hazel, Happy Birthday. Can we please spend #2 at home?
