camping
We took Hazel on her first camping trip a few weeks ago. We weren't sure if we would actually be spending the night as we really didn't know how Hazel was going to do. We had a great dinner around the campfire, Hazel ran around with all of her little friends, and when it was time for bed, we layed her down in the middle of the tent, told her goodnight, and stood outside for a few minutes to see what would happen. Wouldn't you know it, she fell right asleep! Not only was this her first time camping, but it was her first time sleeping outside of a crib. I can't believe how big she is...
After we put the kids to bed, the adults sat up and talked around the fire for hours. It was so wonderful- we sure are going to miss all of our friends!!
The next morning she slept in (!) and then we had a great time bumming breakfast off of our friends (we weren't prepared since we didn't actually think we'd be staying). More playing, followed by packing up the camp, followed by baths and tick checking at home. We had so much fun, and Hazel still talks about Daddy scaring the groundhog when he burped.
Have I mentioned yet how much Hazel loves her little friends, how much we love our bigger ones, and how much we are going to miss everyone!?
