surprise!

For the past few months, I had been planning a surprise graduation party for Isaac. I am awful at surprises- I simply can't keep them to myself for very long- but I was determined not to let this one leak. We arrived in Utah on Friday afternoon, and the party was set for Saturday evening.

About a month before the party, Isaac's brother emailed me and asked if I was aware that Isaac was planning his own graduation party! So I decided to have a little fun with this. "His party" was set for Sunday night, so I went ahead and made plans for a family dinner at my parent's house for the same night. He was less than pleased, and said to me on more than one occasion, "This is my ONLY graduation party!" "Why are you ruining my graduation party?!" We had a few 'arguments' about this, and I had probably too much fun egging him on!

Well, mad or not, he was SURPRISED! We had a great turnout of family and friends, and an incredible, multi-Benjamin costing firework show. (And the delicious tortilla wrapped candy bars just made the evening perfect.)

Kilief came to Utah with us, and was supposed to let me know when they would be showing up to the party. We made up a story about a jewelry party that I would be attending, and Kilief believed the story, so he was so confused and thought maybe the party was off. Thus, he didn't give us enough heads up, but we pulled it off anyway.
Dr. Pyro Isaac was in heaven.
