Oh, my dear neglected blog.
To sum things up- after the movers took all of our earthly belongings (well, except for the 5 carry-ons and the 7 checked bags full of photo albums and other irreplaceable things) we visited family in Utah. We played and slept. And then we drove to our new abode. We slept on an air mattress for a week until our earthly belongings arrived. We unpacked. We decorated a little bit. We made a few friends. We love the weather, we love the smallish town, we love the 6 minute bike ride of a commute, the farmers market, the beach, the pool, the parks, the bike paths, the low stress lifestyle of not having to worry about school and crazy hours.
I want to blog about some of these things in more detail, but until then, here are a few pictures of my nearest and dearest to hold you over.

we have a close temple! |
i could eat her... but every time i try, she exclaims, "don't eat me! eat breakfast!" |
for about a week straight she couldn't sleep without this on her head. and... no more crib!! |
we love being able to bike just about anywhere. isaac loves taking the bike and trailer grocery shopping since he can just wheel the groceries right into the kitchen! |
enjoying a chilly and windy day at the beach. we rented wet suits and were amazed at how warm they kept us. |
lots of painting and playdough-ing have been going down at our house |
and we have a small, totally enclosed back patio/yard that is perfect for hazel. i don't know how i survived without an outdoor space for so long! |
getting 'warm and cozy' after taking a dip in the pool. my mother and i (mostly my mother) made this little towel robe |
probably singing 'happy birthday'- her song of choice. i think she might love birthdays as much as i do! |
Can someone please tell me when my little baby grew up!?!? Oh, she is so darling. |
Phew, that took a lot out of me. Until next time....
