The next day Keri & fam went on a tour of an aircraft carrier while Hazel and I waited at home for the car loan check to arrive in the mail. It finally came and we headed down south to purchase our new car! We made a few stops first, the boys were just dying to go to the Lego store and then we had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. And then, at long last, we handed over a large sum of money and received the keys to our (new to us) car. And guess what? It didn't break down on the way home, and in fact, it hasn't broken down in the past three weeks. Amazing!
Wednesday we headed into San Fran for a long and fun day. We walked around the Wharf and then up to Ghiradelli Square. We then hopped on a cable car and rode it to China Town. We went to the fortune cookie factory and stopped for some egg rolls and dumplings at another shop. The kids had lots of fun looking at all of the trinkets and trying to decide how to spend their money.
We also visited the Spy Shop and found some secret bathrooms before dropping Isaac off at a conference and heading home. Even after spending so much time here over the past week, we still found new things to do and had so much fun showing our visitors around.
The next day Isaac was working so we headed up to an awesome playground
in the Redwoods. We had a picnic lunch and then went on a short hike,
followed by a trip to see the temple.
That night Isaac took us on a tour of his lab and the boys examined different water samples and cells under a microscope.
