Last month we celebrated our ten year anniversary and Isaac took me on my perfect date- that guy sure knows me!
We headed into the city via public transportation (which is my least favorite mode of transportation, but it was all uphill from there) and stopped at a flower booth where Isaac bought me some flowers wrapped in kraft paper. I don't know what it is about flowers in kraft paper, but he knows I love 'em!
Then we walked a few blocks to a jewelry store where I spent the next half hour or so trying on rings, including one that was worth half a million bucks! When Isaac proposed, he had already bought the ring and completely surprised me with it. I've always wanted to go ring shopping and could never talk him into it... I guess after ten years I finally wore him down! Alas, nothing was purchased, but now Isaac knows what to shop for when we strike it rich.
Up next we stopped at a pretzel cart and then a jewelry stand to buy Hazel some bracelets. We sat at Union Square for a while, just talking and relaxing, then did some window shopping. We ended up at the Container Store, another store I've been trying to talk Isaac into going with me to. He was the perfect shopping companion and walked down every single isle with me and didn't complain once!
We then grabbed some more snacks and relaxed while waiting for our 9:30pm dinner reservation at the most romantic restaurant in San Fran, Fleur de Lys. We had the most wonderful five course meal- it was all so delicious!

this was one of our two dessert courses (we got extra desserts compliments of the chef). the bun was a donut and the hamburger was ganache, the fries were ice cream, oh, it was so good. |
We had a romantic, leisurely, non-public transportation ride home. We woke Hazel up to show her the limo before it left, and Hazel exclaimed, "It's big enough to fit my whole family!!!" (Back story: when we were car shopping a few months ago, she kept telling us that the cars we were trying out weren't big enough to fit her whole family, and she would get really sad. So she was thrilled that we had finally found a car that would work!)
It was a perfect anniversary celebration!
