best helpers

As our trip came to an end, we started thinking about the daunting move that faced us when we got home. We hatched a plan to bring two of our nieces home with us and hold them captive to work as our slaves. Thankfully their parents agreed to this plan, and we embarked on a thrilling and long drive home. Pretty sure the girls were changing their mind about two hours in..... or at least by the time that Hazel threw up in the bag of rolls.

Moving stinks, and these girls were such a huge help with all the packing, moving, cleaning, organizing, and watching Hazel. I don't think we could have done it without them and their strong muscles!

We tried to get a little playing in with all the work... ok, a lot of playing!

first trip to Ikea
first sushi
they both hated it, and there was a lot of gagging and spitting going on
hazel's pet broom
lots of driving to see the sites
new sunglasses and balloons from a homeless man
Ghiradelli Square
we've seen a lot of street performers in our lives, but this was the best act yet. very funny!

hazel is incredibly good at angry birds

much more fun than cleaning!

getting buried in sand at the bay

"i'm a sand monster!"

eating the "kitchen sink"- it was HUGE!! We finished it, but it was hard!

someone was on a sugar high after i cut off her ice cream supply

an evening in China Town

this is what happens when you give a three year old a chocolate covered donut and tell her to 'eat half'. smart girl, that hazel.
We had a busy couple of weeks with these girls, and the fun just continued.....
