snow, metal detectors, food, and fun

We crammed in all sorts of fun in our final week of vacation. It all started off with some playing in the snow...
followed by Isaac losing our only set of car keys in said snow. We spent the next hour or so- it felt like 5- raking, blowing, shoveling, sifting, all the snow in my parent's front yard. No luck. We took a break to play some Farkle and decide on our next move. We decided a metal detector was our final shot until spring.

It had continued to snow all day, and was still snowing when we arrived home with our newly purchased last hope.

30 minutes later, beep beep beep- we found the keys!

We celebrated by playing some crazy dominoes.

The next day brought more playing in the snow, but the keys stayed inside.

We also got to talk to our favorite Elder on Skype. He comes home in May. That is THREE MONTHS! Insane. Oh, I am so proud of him.

And I talked my dad into making my favorite holiday dinner, his fried shrimp. Mmmm, I need me some more of that!

We had a great time at the arcade, followed by Cafe Rio, mmmm, I need some of that too....

I took one of my nephew's out to breakfast one morning, and loved to be able to spend time with him. I wish we lived closer and could take all of our nieces and nephews out one at a time. After breakfast we played this block stacking game and totally almost won :)

One afternoon we took the frontrunner to SLC for a little post-Christmas shopping. Hazel loved the train, but after a long delay our little tired girl took a little snooze.

Ok, one more December post coming up!
