Oops

Over the past few weeks, we have had a lot of fiascoes with our bathroom. Isaac had to work last Saturday, so in an attempt to be creative and independent, I painted the tile in our bathroom white. The first section I painted looked awesome, so I continued to paint the entire bathroom. Well, when I was done, it looked like something from the Nightmare Before Christmas. It was a little freaky- stark white next to black, hints of yellow showing through in places... it was bad. Isaac came home from work with paint stripper and we proceeded to strip paint and burn our skin for the next 5 hours. It was awesome, and we spent $100 dollars to have our bathroom look just like it did before. That'll teach Isaac to work on Saturdays.

As I was painting, I also decided to rip up the floor (ambitious, aren't I?). Well, it was harder than I bargained for, so I ripped up a good third of it and waited for Isaac to do the rest. Nice of me, since Isaac has never been busier at work than now. Thanks for working hard, now come fix my mess. My friend Michelle was coming for the weekend, so in between staying up all night working, Isaac finished ripping up the floor and laying down a new one. He finished right as Michelle was calling from the airport to say her plane had landed. Do I have the best husband or what?

Before you answer that...

We have a skylight in our bathroom, and the other day a bird flew in. Isaac decided that it would "teach that bird a lesson" if we trapped him in the skylight for a few minutes. Maybe then he would be scared and never return. Despite my pleas to "leave that poor bird alone" Isaac went ahead with his trapping plan. He pulled the chain to trap the bird in, but that bird was too fast. Or not quite fast enough. It had gotten halfway through the opening in the time that it took Isaac to yank it shut... and Isaac killed that poor bird.

At least it was his own mess he had to clean up this time.

Sara your posts are officially the funniest ones I read. I love them! and good job for trying to make the bathroom look better. Jake would have been pissed. Good thing you have isaac to fix everything huh? How long are you guys staying in Philly? When Jake gets back I wanna go to Sesame Place, which I think is right outside of Philly. It would be cool if you guys are still there.

You are so funny Sara - thanks again for having us over for card party and showing me the ropes with my own camera (and my own manual, I should add).
