Merry Christmas!

Isaac and I had a wonderful Christmas in Philly. We missed our families like crazy, but loved being able to relax, cross a few things off our to do lists, and just spend time with eachother!

The Saturday before Christmas, we finally made it up to the Manhattan temple, and had a nice afternoon seeing the Christmas sights in NYC. I heart NYC.

Isaac and his best friend Ben

On Christmas eve we had a shepherd's dinner (my family's tradition) with the Lakes, went to see a live nativity scene, and webcamed with family for a few hours. We opened our exchange gifts from Isaac's family- Isaac got a cool anatomy game and I got some comfy pjs. Thanks Noemi and Charity!!

I love my pjs.

While webcaming, Isaac said he now knows how Dax feels when we put him in his kennel- we sat looking at the computer screen and people would walk up to the computer, peer in at us, say a few things, and walk away. The kids would crowd around, throw things at us and make faces. It was so funny- we loved it.

Christmas morning we slept in until 8:30 (WOW!) when Dan called to tell us that they were ready to open presents. We sat on the webcam and watched the boys open their presents, we opened ours and had a wonderful morning.

Our families and friends are amazing- they sent us so many presents! We were so spoiled!

Santa really spoiled us... I finally got a digital SLR, and Isaac got a GPS. I am still scared of my camera (it has been sooo long), but we are in love with our GPS. We haven't been lost in a week and half.

We wanted to do some type of Christmas day service project, and since I am germaphobe and couldn't bring myself to volunteer in a soup kitchen or something, we decided to make fleece blankets to be donated to Project Linus. We spent all day and made five blankets!

We were then going to go out for a chinese dinner, but our neighbors invited us over to their house so we had a hearty (and spicy!) Indian meal.

For the rest of our vacation, we stayed up way too late playing nintendo (the old school NES)- we conquered (twice, mind you) Super Mario 3, battled it out on Dr. Mario, and had a grand time.

Your Christmas looks like so much fun.
Hey I think that is way cool that you made blankets for Project Linus. When we were in the NICU with Noah they gave us a blanket from project linus to put over Noah's incubator. We have treasured that blanket ever since we call it the NICU blanket. That will help out so many families.

k - there are so many fun things to comment about here! First of all - what camera did you get? I just got a d40x, my first digi slr and it is coming tomorrow! It going to intimidate me for sure. And, I was so excited to be able to see a closer-upper pic of your tree skirt, so cute! Good job and LOVE the polka dots. Oh, and what is a NYE party without a palm tree pinata? Seriously!
