Our original plan was to fly out a few days before Christmas, but Isaac and I decided that we didn't want to wait that long, so we changed our tickets and surprised our families with five extra days of having us around!
We were supposed to get in around 10pm, but we were delayed a few hours and didn't make it to my parent's house until 1am. We had my brother Dan wake my parents up and tell them they needed to come see something. My mom said, "you want me to get out of bed and come out there?" It was pretty funny, and they were sure surprised to see us in the living room. I was scared we'd give them a heart attack or something, so I am happy to say they are both still ticking.
We are very careful to split our time evenly between families while in Utah. It gets a bit hectic, but we love being able to spend so much time with everyone. It is easy when it is just the two of us to flitter from place to place, but as soon as a baby comes to stay at our house, family will have to start coming to see us!
We had many family parties- Isaac's fam went to SLC and stayed in a hotel, went to the movies, temple square, ate pizza, went swimming, on Christmas Eve eve (my camera battery was dead, so sadly no pictures).
My family had a Christmas Eve shepherd's dinner, bingo for prizes, and gift exchange. We all dressed up like shepherds, per usual, and ate fish and other shepherd food, like chicken nuggets.
That night it was off to Isaac's fam for Christmas Eve gift exchange.
Then... back to my parent's to spend the night and have Christmas morning with my parents, Dan, Keri and fam, and John & Jackie (my aunt and uncle from California, it was Jackie's first white Christmas).
New Years Eve we had a fondue party with Isaac's fam, then headed to the airport. We celebrated the New Year on the airplane, I am just glad we were sitting next to each other so we didn't have to kiss strangers.

It was so much fun having you guys here. It really was a wonderful Christmas this year! We were so happy we got to spend so much time with you two! The boys are still talking about how "cool" Uncle Isaac and Aunt Sara are.
Hey... we have an aebleskivers pan! It's wonderful... great for fried eggs too. Yummy!! Glad you had fun with your family. :)
Hi, this is Renee' (Foster-Adopt Mom)
I hope u don't mind me following your blog. I am excited to hear when you get another baby.
I think you have a great attitude right now! For whatever reason that little baby girl needed you two in her life for that time. We don't always understand HF doings, but it will end up so wonderful for you guys, I can't even tell you!
We are fostering our 3 child (baby girl who's 2 mo old) and will lose her one of these days. Probaby in a few months. It's incredibly hard for me to say goodbye to a baby who we brought home from the hospital, but I always keep our son's adoption in the back of my mind and know that more children will come to us somehow.

My heart is w/you and glad to hear that you had a great xmas holiday!
I just left a comment on your December 15th post and I am afraid you won't see it, so this is to let you know it's there.
It's weird to leave a comment on someone's blog that doesn't even know you...but I heard about your story, and even though we don't know each other, I am so sorry for you guys. I can't imagine going through something like that, but I know that our Heavenly Father will make it right. We just have to turn it all over to Him. I am praying for you, and that sweet baby girl, and hope that through the Savior, you will find some peace and comfort.
I am like the last comment...it can be weird to write a comment on somebodys blog whom you don't know. I linked you from the comment you wrote on baby Talon's blog. Anyway, I just want to say that what happened to you (and your husband & family) is so sad. However, I am convinced Heavenly Father has great plans for you and your family. God Bless and Good Luck! =)
The Price family Christmas party with a twist of Islam...we like to try new things.
It may still be easier for three to flit than for 24 to fly to Philly. But we loved having you here!
