who's your fry daddy?

My dad always fries shrimp on New Year's Eve. This year we decided to keep that tradition alive and fry up some for our NYE "party". We bought a Fry Daddy and made an easy tempura coating. We fried up veggies and shrimp, and oh my heavens, they were wonderful. How did we go so long without owning a deep fryer? We then deep fried oreos, a la the Jersey Shore, and again, oh my heavens, they were wonderful.

But we didn't let the deep fried fun stop on New Year's Eve. New Year's day brought us more tempura veggies and shrimp, oreos, and... donuts!

We found the easiest recipe for these donuts, and were really blown away by how good they tasted, especially after dipped in chocolate glaze.
And then, the next day, we had deep fried scones with honey butter for breakfast.

I can't fit into my jeans anymore.

Thank you, Sara! Your kind words meant the world to me. Also, thank you for adding my name to the temple prayers rolls. I feel so blessed to know such generous and caring people. You and Isaac are amazing and I am so glad you had such a great New Years and Christmas. You two deserve a wonderful year! Thanks again!

Sounds good. I already can't fit into my jeans though, so we better go sans deep fryer. I'll just drool over your pictures instead :)

Those donuts just brought back memories of Campus Corner and conference weekend. Good times.

You are funny! I can't even imagine how big I would be if we had a fry daddy! Fried Oreos? Enjoy some for me!
