Music to live by

I love the Counting Crows. Love love love. Favorite band of all time. And they are coming to Atlantic City for two shows. 1 hour away. TWO shows. I heard this announcement on the radio and my heart started thumping in my chest and I got a little light headed. I love the Counting Crows, you see, and I thought "This is it! I can finally see them in concert!" I started listening to the Counting Crows my freshman year of highschool. The girls and I made music videos to "Mr. Jones" and listened to August and Everything After constantly. But that was in 9th grade (a while ago).

I have only met one other person who shares my passion for Counting Crows, and I know a lot of people. So in my mind I am thinking "I am probably the only one that loves, loves, loves, Counting Crows. I bet the concert will be in a park with $10 lawn seats. I could even let Isaac come with me for $10 a ticket!"

Apparently other people like the Counting Crows too. The first show is sold out. The second show has a few tickets left. All tickets cost $75. No lawn. No $10. No me seeing the Counting Crows. I have listened to This Desert Life at work for three days straight to ease the pain.

On a happier note, The Spice Girls have reunited! In high school, my friends and I listened to the Spice Girls, bought Spice Girls shirts, etc. The tshirts were a joke, but the music is no laughing matter. For years (okay, maybe year) our gifts to one another centered around a Spice Girls theme. Even with our Spice obsession, none of us had a Spice Girls CD (we borrowed one from the boy down the street whenever we needed a fix, go figure). My high school graduation present from Isaac was a Spice Girls CD. He said that he stood in line at the store with this embarrasing CD because he loved me. Awww.

Hello there. It's me, the Jenny Frame friend. Just thought I'd say hello. I've heard many many very enlightening things about the two of you; yes, even things that have changed my life. Like the placemat bag. Because of you, my scriptures have a peaceful place to rest.

I'm sorry that your Counting Crows dream has yet to be fulfilled, but hey, at least the Spice Girls are back together. We can all rest a little easier and happier with this knowledge.
