Movie Stars

As most of you are aware, we have been raising money to send our Philly youth to EFY in Utah this summer. The director of CES Youth Programs caught wind of our plan and asked if he could bring a film crew to document our efforts and the amazing youth!

Yesterday was the first day of filming, and the crew will be here until Sunday. They came to mutual yesterday and interviewed each of the kids individually. They also took film of their broom hockey activity and seminary, which is held every week after the activity. I spent the evening listening to the kids while they were being interviewed, and was awed by their experiences and testimonies. Our youth are amazing! Each one told their individual conversion story (the majority have been members for two years or less) and how excited they were to go to EFY.

Today and tomorrow the film crew is going to a few of the kids' schools, and then doing interviews in their homes. Saturday the YM have a basketball tournament, so they are pretty excited to get their mad skills on tape. After the game we are all going to the church to act out our Sunday meetings (they don't want to actually film us on Sunday and interrupt church). This is pretty exciting!

The fund raising has been awesome, and we are amazed at people's generousity. I'll let Isaac blog more about this later.

P.S.
Thank you to our WONDERFUL friends and family for all of your love and support. The flowers, candy, words of encouragement, and prayers mean the world to us. We are so blessed.

Sara thanks for finding me!! I often wonder about you and your family since we don't have the Ephraim street thing (300 North) in common any more. I am so excited to stay in contact through blogging. Wow you are so beautiful, and you and your husband are such a good looking couple. That is really interesting about the youth where you are, what brought you to the East coast? I am also very sad to hear about your fertility struggles, you have such an amazing attitude. It is cool to see you all grown up, that sounds weird but I think of us when we were in high school and you were Rob's age. love ya.

You guys are amazing. How do you even THINK of a project like that? We are too lazy. You are making such a positive influence in their lives.

I want you to know that you are both in our prayers. I am so lucky to have an amazing friend like you. That was the hardest part about this move, was leaving so many good friends behind. Though we have not spent much time together, I feel like we just relate so well!! I hope that we can get together again for dinner soon. We will see you Sat! Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you guys with this BUSY week!!
