The recovery has been longer and harder than I thought it was going to be. I am supposed to go back to work tomorrow, but seeing as I how I can't stand up for more than five minutes a day, I am going to have to work from home for a little while. Or just quit my job- that sounds like a nice alternative too.The bruising has gone down a lot and the incision looks pretty good (for an incision, of course). Finger crossed that I won't have a knife-fight scar once the bandages come off.
Once again, it has been hard being so far from family (I really wish my mom could have been here to take care of me!) but our friends have been awesome. I made Isaac take pictures of all the beautiful flowers I've been given, we've had meals and treats and emails and phone calls and visits galore. It sure makes a girl feel loved!

Well, your Mom also sure wishes she could come and take care of you! You look so sad, but tomorrow will be a better day! Drink LOTS of fluid, and read or watch something that makes you laugh---laughter actually takes away pain and helps you heal faster! Or you can follow the advice your father always gives: take 2 aspirin and call me in the morning! We love you, sweet girl, and you are in our prayers.

That's it! You're officially spoiled! I don't get that many flowers or visits no matter what happens to me! Your neck looks gorgeous! You'll probably be a neck model when it finishes healing up. There's a huge shortage you know! Your neck was practically perfect before but now that that goiter is gone (the goiter I never noticed but we'll pretend I did). I'm pretty sure that you will have a hard time keeping the camera men from knocking down your door. That's one HOT neck...ok maybe that was too far...
p.s. I really came here to tell you that Russ was able to work on the video a little more tonight. Cross your fingers! Sorry it's taking so long.

Sara you really did have a Goiter!!! You poor girl. I'm sorry for not believing you... what a bad friend I am. Hope your feeling well. I'm glad you have good friends there to help talk care of you. I'll also give Isaac a shout out cause I'm sure he helped out a little;)
