I have always dreamed of being an actress. In elementary school, I was the star of all the school plays (except the ones that required singing, and then I was relinquished to the smallest part available). In middle school, I was the lead in the 8th grade play, and almost had to kiss a boy (can you imagine the horror?) In high school, I was an extra in a high quality, award winning movie. Oooh, maybe I should reprise my love of the spotlight now that I am out of a job...
Anyway, the point of this story is that my fourth grade social studies/drama teacher was convinced that someday I would win an Oscar. She made me promise that I would thank her during my acceptance speech.
This is probably the closest I'll ever get, but it feels pretty dang good. A blogger that I admire (and come close to idolizing, if idolizing wasn't a sin, or something) has awarded me the lemonade award. How sweet it is! So Mrs. Allbaugh, this one's for you.
It is now my extreme privilege to award my top 10 favorite blogs with this kick-A honor.
1. Although she awarded me, I have to give props right back at her. Honestly, the best and most honest adoption blog out there. Mrs. R is totally awesome.
2. A Little Sussy. I love her photography, and design, and everything. Lovely.
3. c jane enjoy it. If you don't know this blog, you must live under a rock. Or maybe in the large fort that Isaac built in our basement.
4. homemade by jill. I came across this blog only like a week ago, but I'm a fan. Plus, she had her picture taken with Martha Stewart, and that's pretty cool.
5. Citrus. This blog was started by one of my best childhood friends and her sister. They not only have awesome recipes and kid's book reviews, but they give away some sweet stuff. Did I tell you about the time I won this?
6. Three photography blogs of my super talented sister-in-law, friend, and friend, respectively. Priceless Impressions, Danica Nelson Photography, Wallin Photography.
7. How About Orange. This was one of my very first blog finds, and I've loved it ever since.
8. Pioneer Woman. I used to read this blog, but it's been a while.... I think I'll start back up.
9. a quilt is nice. One of the many quilting blogs that I have become slightly obsessed with.
10. Seriously, So Blessed. I was worried for a while that it was getting less funny, but alas, it still cracks me up.

I love that I've seen/I think my parents have the award winning movie that you were an extra in! And I remember you telling us you were in it and watching it when we lived together =]
And I love how you squeezed in two extra awards by doing a three in one =]
thanks for the shout out! i hope you are well. i really think about you everyday!! thanks again!
The other day I was telling people at work the story about the 8th grade play. Last scene Greg has died and it's just supposed to be you, me and Travis on stage. Once we get out there Travis goes, "Where is Greg?" then he runs off the stage to go find
Greg. This leave you and I on stage starting at each other wonder what the heck is Travis thinking. You then go running after Travis to tell him that Greg is not in this scene and just happens to be dead. This leaves me on stage by myself. I turn around to see the audience staring at me. so I take off and go behind the curtain. Then our drama teacher makes us go back out to finish the play. I hated this part of the play because it was my crying scene. ha ha ha.... every time I think of this story I laugh so hard. Do you remember all of this??
We sure had a lot of funny times together.
Hey Sara!! I can't believe that I found your blog thru Danica... Danica's best friend growing up is my sister in law. Kinda crazy huh?? Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that I am so sorry for what you are going thru. I can't imagine the hurt that you guys feel. I really wish the best for you guys.
