yellowstone

For the second half of our trip, we headed to West Yellowstone to stay at my brother-in-law's family cabin. There are few times when my entire family gets together, but we were all there, under one roof, and it was so much fun.

We made dog tag key chains for the kiddos. They could put anything they wanted on them- we had a lot of names and birth dates, but also some i'm the coolest and bffs. We didn't get all of them done, so we still have some hammering to do.

Hazel was so happy to finally meet Uncle Spence. It did my heart good to see how much he instantly adored her. Oh, I miss my family.

We actually got to see Old Faithful this year (last time we were in the gift shop). Well, sort of, since we were busy posing for the camera.

Even with the elk in the background, Isaac couldn't take his eyes off our darling daughter.

Speaking of Hazel, she was the star of the show. She did not have a minute to herself the entire trip! Someone was always holding her, making her laugh, and kissing those cheeks. Even in the car, she was always sure to have a crowd of cousins admiring her. Oh, she is looooved!

Learning more about the river than she could have imagined. It won't be long before she's out in the drift boat.

My darling sister, who doesn't look a day older than me.

Evenings were spent trying to get people into a game-playing mood. I convinced everyone to play Cranium one night, and Spencer was on my parents' team. He had to act like a famous person, and when we all read that it was Justin Timberlake, we were sure they would not be winning that round. Spencer began by saying "I was in a boy band" and then he did a typical hand move. My mom shouted out, "Timberlake!" Oh, we almost died, how she knew that, I'll never know. Well played, mom.

The rest of the time we played Mexican Train, which is apparently our family game of choice.

I told Isaac to put Hazel on the four wheeler so I could take a picture. I should have known better- he started driving around the cabin with her. She's in for quite an exciting life with that dad of hers.

This is the top floor of the cabin where the kids all stayed. The beds fold down from the walls, and then fold back up so you can have all this open play space.

Have I mentioned how much we miss our families?

The beds fold down from the walls? That is awesome! Sounds like such a fun trip. I'm glad you got to see your family, though I'm also incredibly jealous. We love playing games if you ever want a game night!
