down the shore

We were so busy this summer visiting far away beaches that we neglected to visit our very own Jersey Shore. We remedied that with a fun Saturday in Cape May.
doin' a little jig

We buried Jerome in the sand, and Hazel just sat at his head and watched with a concerned look on her face.
And then her concern turned to tears. What were we doing to Jerome?!
This little girl loves the sand (even when it is covering her entire face) and the ocean.
After a very long day in the sun, she stuffed her face with a donut and promptly fell asleep on my lap.

Of course we reminisced about the last time we visited the shore, one year ago. I can hardly believe how fast she is growing up!

Love the blog! Can't believe how big she is getting! You will now have to go to the Jersey Shore every year to get a picture in the same red chair. You've started a new tradition! Love and miss ya! Mome

You forgot to mention that we added a boogey board to the list of vehicles that Hazel has ridden and sadly there were no pictures of this because Sara was at the water's edge yelling at me, haha. She did so good we caught some nice waves together!
