happy halloween!

Super Hazel had a great Halloween.

She was so excited about everything this year. "Today is Halloween!" "Happy Halloween!" "I am super Hazel!" "I want so much candy!".... on repeat for weeks before Halloween.

She has a tornado on her costume because that is exactly what our little Super Hazel is- one awesome bundle of tornado-ness.

she is probably praying for lots of candy. especially suckers and acorns (candy corn)

I snapped a few pictures of Hazel in costume before we headed out the door to Isaac's work. Before we got there, Isaac had gone around to all of his coworkers and given them candy to give to Hazel (what? that is SO cute.) I was amazed that every office we stopped at had candy to give her, I thought they all just kept a stash of candy sitting on their desks.

Then we headed to our local shopping area and went around to the different stores. Hazel got tons of candy because seriously people, she is the cutest thing anyone had ever seen.

A friend and I decided to put together a little Halloween party. Isaac and I changed into our superhero costumes and headed over to party headquarters. I told Isaac I wanted to hurry and get a picture of all of us before Hazel ruined her costume.

....and sure enough, a few minutes later, Hazel threw up all over herself. Dang! She was totally fine after that, so we still went trick or treating, but her darling costume was retired for the night.

super dad? hazel and i sure think so!
I pulled out the nightgown I had brought with us and she went in that. I am sure people were wondering why we were so costumed out but hadn't bothered to put our child in anything. Or maybe they just thought she was dressed as a mom taking around her little superhero boy trick or treating. Totally obvious, right?

march march march march, this girl loves to march
None of these pictures do it justice, but I have never seen a Halloween like our little town puts on. It was SO amazing. We decided that we need to invite our families out next year- it is that good. Incredible. Haunting. Rad. (Have I convinced you? It is crazy awesome.)

Even with vomit and sans costume, it was the best Halloween ever!
