This past week has been rough. Jerome's younger brother was shot in the head on Halloween night. He has been on life support for the entire week, and passed away this morning at 1am.
It was up to me to call Jerome's mission and let them know what happened. They then passed the information on to Jerome, and he was able to call and talk to his mom.
He also wrote the following poem that I wanted to share with you.
Even though he had his last breath
Nevertheless i will see him again
This is nothing more or nothing less
So please don't worry nor stress
Prayer is all i recommend
For me, my family and my friends
We are promised to live again
Some in Paradise and Some in sin
Time for change of heart
The world continues to rotate
So you need to play your part
Life will not end
Because of Jesus Christ and his Resurrection
Our hearts are breaking for Jerome and his family. I cannot imagine the pain that they are feeling right now, and we pray every day for peace and comfort to be with them. I know they would appreciate your prayers as well.
For more info on the story, you can see here.
I am sure that Jerome could use some extra love at Christmas this year. If you would like to send him a package, please let me know and I'll email you his address. (Mail takes a long time to get to him, so it will need to be sent soon)

I don't even know what to say. My heart goes out to Jerome and his family. They'll be in our prayers. Can I have his email address again? I didn't make it here with it. Thanks.
Please email me his address. spicerjennie@yahoo.com
I'll be sending a Rittman Family Merry Christmas Box for Elder Stewart on Monday.
I wish there was more we could do.
I would like his address as well. martuck24@gmail.com If there is anything specific Jerome needs in the mission let us know. My heart is breaking for him! But I am so impressed at his spiritual strength that you can feel reading the poem. Thanks for sharing Sara
My thoughts and prayers are with Jerome and his family. So very sad.
